SearchStax Studio has three Recommendation features — Auto-Suggest, Related Searches, and Popular Searches — to improve the search experience by making it easier for users to quickly find the right search term or by augmenting search results with other search terms.
Auto-Suggest enables real-time suggestions while the search user types in keywords. SearchStax Studio builds a Solr index based on previous search history by users. You have the ability to refine the experience by adding/removing searches and specifying the number of suggestions to show the user and the number of keystrokes required before suggestions begin to appear.
Related Searches provide contextually-relevant searches in addition to the standard search results based on search terms provided by other users or defined through the SearchStax Studio application. You have the ability to define a search phrase as being related to one or more potential search phrases. Additional phrases are offered to the search user at the bottom of the search results.
Popular Searches retrieves the most popular searches recorded by the Studio App during the previous 30 days. Have the option to display popular search suggestions to users before they begin their search.
